TV Spots - Red Rover Studios - Sasktel Red Riding Hood

Hey folks,
The crew here at Red Rover just finished up 4 tv spots for Sasktel, featuring Little Red Riding hood in her grandma's decked out cottage. The spots are currently airing in Saskatchewan and on Canadian satellite, but we figured we'd post them here too.

It was a pretty tight schedule for our small team, as we had just over 6 weeks to get all 4 spots done in time for the holidays. It meant a lot of late nights and weekends, and there's a million things we'd fix if we'd only had time, but we're still really proud of the result.

...enjoy!!

oh, and be sure to check out our swanky new website at www.redrover.net

the movies (compressed with quicktime h.264)

Sasktel - "Pre Party" (5mb)
Sasktel - "Post Party" (7mb)
Sasktel - "Hi Speed" (6mb)
Sasktel - "Max HD" (7mb)

and some stills!!

MaxHD:

Hi Speed:

thanks for watching!!

6 weeks?! damn! Excellent job overall. Very appealing character and very nice animation.

Was 6 weeks for everything or just animation?

This reminds me why I hate TV\commercials industry so much.

Brilliant work (as always) I was watching one of the commercials and it brought a stop to all production until everyone here had seen all four. Great work!

My connection is too slow to download all the spots. but just watching the stills... great rendering, almost photoreal sometimes. And very appealing character and environment. Looks like a place I wouldnt mind spending christmas holiday in
Something you should be proud off. Congratz!

Great work - were you guys the same people who did the robin hood flour adverts? I loved those to pieces!

Great lighting, richly detailed environments and nice animation.
If i HAD to be constructive, I think it could use some more motion blur to make it look more natural, and im not super-keen on the way her mouth corners pull up a lot.

Amazing work given the schedule, though - very well done!

The visual is great.

But in the Pre, she doesn't look to the camera. Overall, the animation is cool, but her eye direction seems a little strange to me sometimes.

great job

Excellent work! Amazing that you all were able to finish all 4 in just 6 weeks.
Hope the client paid out the ass for such a quick turnaround and high quality result.

Hey great work rover guys!
I hope you all get a nice few weeks off for the holidays after working so hard on the spots. Can't wait to see more, oh and I can't wait to see the new Dandy stuff that is hinted at on the site
